Since Christmas is fast approaching, I just wanted to hit some quick things that are happening at Revolution and coming up soon:
- Loved preaching through the book of Philippians. What a beautiful book on how to fight for joy. If you missed any of the weeks, or want to listen again and want to go through the study guide, you can download all of that here.
- Our Christmas offering is in full swing. We are hoping to raise over $6,000 to give away. This is a great opportunity to help support church planting in Tucson, to help those in financial need and to make our day camp (this is a great outreach to the neighborhood around our church) this summer a big success. We as a family have taken some of the money we were going to use for gifts and used it for the Christmas offering. It is a great way to talk with your kids about generosity this Christmas.
- Our Christmas eve service is going to be great. I hope you are praying about who you can bring. Katie and I picked up some invite cards on Saturday and have started passing them out to friends (here is a great reminder about bringing someone on Christmas Eve). We are going to look at how Jesus coming to earth salvages life and redeems the broken places of our lives.
- Because of our Christmas eve service we will NOT have a worship service on December 25th.
- We are having a special service on January 1st @ 5pm that you don’t want to miss. We will be looking at The One Thing. It will be a great way to kick off the New Year!
- We are kicking off a brand new series on the book of James on January 8th. This is going to really challenge our church in terms of how we see our faith, how we live out our faith and to move our faith into our daily lives (where it belongs).
